The app told a resident that an invitation is needed to access RoomSync.
There may be users who are told they need an invitation to access RoomSync. This could mean:
1. They tried to log in with a social account that is not the original account they used to register.
2. They have not yet received their invitation to join RoomSync and are trying to join the app by simply heading to it on their own. If a resident should have been invited but has not yet received a RoomSync invitation with an access link, you can search for their name in RoomSync Admin, click on their name to bring up their profile, and once you've verified that their email address is listed correctly, click on the Resend Invitation button.
Note: If the resident's email address is incorrect on their RoomSync profile, update it in Entrata and then check RoomSync Admin again after about 30 minutes. If it has been successfully updated, you can now resend the resident's invitation link.
A resident says they can’t find their friend on RoomSync.
If a resident is searching for a specific user by name but cannot find them, they are likely separated by criteria such as floorplan, lease type, or their new/renewal status. If both residents are renewing residents, they won’t see each other in the app. As an admin, you can override renewal criteria by using the Match function located under the Users menu on the lefthand side of RoomSync Admin.
What if a resident already knows who they want to live with?
If a resident already knows who they'd like to live with, they still need to complete the RoomSync process and match with each other on RoomSync. The final matching reports in RoomSync is how roommate requests will be conveyed to on-site property teams.
